I put a lot of people on my dA Watch sometimes. You'd be surprised at the number of people.

Birthday is on 9/17!

I use Gimp and Paint, will that help?

Gimp is really nice. I just need to get the hang of the layers.

Does anyone know a good, free program that isn't trial, and lets you soften edges on a picture? I want to make a new banner for 2010... I have Gimp, but would that work? And how do you do layers in Gimp?

I also have Paint.net.

Iam working that out right now. I am drawing and coloring a picture in thar as we speak.

Most people (including myself) use multiple programs. I mostly use photoshop elements, since the big photoshop is reallllyyy expensive and elements pretty much does most of the stuff the bid version can, plus it's more user friendly and less intimidating. :)

I'm thinking about buying the smaller version coral painter because it looks good and I've been seeing more and more people using it. :yum:

You mentioned open canvas? I don't know much about that...:-?

There's manga studio if you want to make actual comic pages.

Oh and two more:

ArtRage- someone told me about it, not sure if it's any good and it's in it's early stages. But is the cheapest of all I've mentioned so far. [link]

Tegaki- Even more basic than ArtRage and it's not really a program but instead, a website, where you sign up for free and draw and display you work there. (a mixture of deviantArt and open canvas) It maybe basic, but it's amazing what people can do with it, and everyone is using the same software, so it's fair. I've got an account there. The problem is you can't access it without internet, but you can save your work to come back to it. Really good and free. [link]

Sorry I babbled on! ^^; hopefully it helps!
